Alright the fallout is over...we all realize Palin quit, the opinions are divided down the line...the SC governor who cheated with a woman in a different country wants to fall back in love with his wife, Elliot Spitzer was mentioned in the news, Michael Jacksons ghost has been spotted and his funeral is tomorrow.
But Id like to add a point onto the previous post:
If she decides to run for president in 2012 it could go 1 of 2 ways.
1. The world rejoices, republicans are happy, they have a shot at winning the election and keeping Barack from being in office again and all is well in the world
2. They say that she wimped out of being governor and if "she wanted to focus more time on family" that it would look bad on her to say that and then right away jump on the political bandwagon.
But here comes my point:
Thats IF she decides to run. She never explicetly stated that she was GOING to run for president. Palin doesnt seem like the smooth talking kind of girl so in my opinion I think she WILL stay away for awhile and focus on the family. She is a grandma now! We get these ideas from quotes in her speech that she IS going to run but at the same time we are jumping to conclusions.
I myself was even blinded by this because unlike McDonalds, McFrosty, Mcwhatever his name is it doesnt matter, I actually really liked Palin and thought she brought life to the zombie overlords called the republican party.
Well thats all I had to add onto that.

Well I havent had much to write political wise but heres a bombshell
Sarah Palin Just Resigned as Alaska's governor.
Yep...the former candadite for vice president and outspoken Republican Sarah Palin has resigned from Alaska's governor position.
The woman who became famous for the "difference between a bulldog and me is lipstick" line as well as shooting a moose out of a helicopter has stepped down. Republican leaders question her leaving but if you listen to her resignation speech you can read between the lines:
She plans on running for president in 2012. Honestly I dont see that being a bad idea. There were so many people who were behind Palin during the 2008 election that if it wasnt for that old dude...whats his name...McDonald?...no..oh yeah John McCain, Palin would be in office right now. She was single handedly carrying the Republican vote last year. She was spunky, smart, energetic, good with people and a woman ready to get to the second highest position. But there was McCain and there was Obama.
Most people thought that she would at least attempt to run for president considering the momentum she carried but she never outwordly said it. But in her resignation speech she was quoted as saying "We are not retreating, we are advancing in another direction." a quote from General McArthur.
Granted her fame has dimmed in recent months since the election, she still holds that charisma that the Republican party needed. So while it may seem like a shock at first realize that we might be seeing this hunter sniping mooses from the Oval Office before we know it.
Ya wanna talk about an actual shock?

We are still fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan against newly powered Al Quieda. Iran is having revolts and attacks and uprising because Ahmadinejad got re-elected and is still pissed. We have this health care reform going on right now. The economy is a roller coaster. North Korea has drank crazy juice when it comes to nuclear weapons...but what is the biggest story of the day?:
PETA
The People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Now im not saying that thats a bad thing. I mean PETA could have a huge concern about a rare species or running a new ad campaign or maybe theyve caught on about Mayor Bloombergs plan to kill all of the canadian geese in a mass genocide of a species...
no...that would be LOGICAL!! Instead PETA is having a hissy over this
Yes this...Swatting a FLY!!!! Holy mother of all that is good and holy ice skating on a reeses peanut butter cup in July blindfolded!! That is ridiculous. Look at the bottom too. Breaking news! I swat flies everyday and nothing happens on the news but the president does it and its huge news and PETA is all over them saying that they are dissapointed and that its a dispicable thing to hurt any creature great or small....

The Socialists are Coming the Socialists are coming!
Well well well. In between getting my braces tightened (despite the fact Ive had them on and off for ten years) and buying every video game on sale thanks to my wallet increase, or trucking to the DMV to finally get my permit (I will learn to drive...mostly to spit in Haley's face HA I will learn to drive HAHA) I have read plenty of magazines in the waiting area. The biggest of these that I cant seem to put down is TIME. Now I realize Time is an extremly slanted magazine, in fact you have to hold it sideways to read it, but it does produce interesting stories and bit pieces every now and again. Mostly I read it because of the cover (Twitter-follow me!) and the decrease in myspace and yahoo but the spike in facebook and google (via Google Earth) but I was seemingly drawn to another article that had me interested. Its something that ever since watching SiCKO Ive wanted in America and now that we have Obama it may actually come into fruition:
Universal Health Care
Yes that which Canada, England, France, Cuba and Germany use is finally gonna come to America. And for people like me Im jumping up and down because the Health Insurance companies are a joke and have never done anything for anyone except screw us over. But Im a Democrat too so there MAY be a bit of a bias. So Im going to approach this from a albiet bias perspective.
Now Obama next week plans to give a speech (SHOCKER) and discuss a complete health care reform and overhaul to not only the industries but the doctors who treat us as well.
The Voice of the Beast Robert Gibbs had this to say at the recent press conference about the speech:
"He'll start with the recognition that the healthcare system status quo is unsustainable and he'll outline the case for healthcare reform," Gibbs told reporters at his daily briefing. "He'll make clear why we can't afford to wait another year or another administration to bring down costs that are crushing families, businesses, and government."In the speech the president will discuss the reasons why past efforts have failed and he'll address the consequences of failing to act again this year," Gibbs added. "He'll lay out plainly what healthcare reform will mean for American families and their doctors and what it won't. The president will also address the importance of making sure that reform doesn't add to our deficit, and what we can do to strengthen what works in our health care system and to fix what's broken so that we can build -- what we build provides the best care in the world at the lowest cost."
Now for Democrats or people who want reform this sounds great right? Well I, even as a Democrat, find holes in this. Obama has had a knack for promising a lot and then messing up on the follow thru. Dont get me wrong, he's trying, it just doesnt work.
So Im a bit defensive and cautious about this. If this is the reform Ive been waiting for then great, but besides picking a date when the soldiers would be taken out of the middle east, Obama has kinda dropped the ball on all or most of his promises.
Im not an Obama hater by any means. Most people should know by now that I really like and respect Obama the person, but I dont like his policies.
But to be fair (and explain the title) Im gonna approach this from the other side....Republicans...
If we do let the government handle our healthcare and get rid of those corrupt evil companies, it could lead to Socialism in America and if memory serves me correct socialism is NOT good. And there have been plenty of problems with Universal/socialized healthcare in many other countries that use it because the government has kinda skimped out on helping..
I dunno honestly. If it does work than yay, if not then we're screwed...oh well. What are we gonna do? Obamas gonna change stuff anyway!

Well I haven't updated New Age Revolution in a while (been MITOR heavy though go read that) and Haley has been busy but I'll drop in
Alright everybody its TJMac and I'm here to talk about some of the current issues going on right now in the world. I haven't been as active as I wanted to on here but I have found myself extremly active on MyInnerThoughtsOrRants (MITOR) my personal blog i run outside of New Age. Not that I have a problem posting stuff on here, I just perfer to post more personal stuff or things that political activists or our readers wouldnt want to hear. I talk about life, videogames, conversations with friends about gangs or lettering, or prom or whatever. I know that this is a political site so i choose to filter what i put on here. Haley has been extremly busy with end of the year stuff (Im getting ready to graduate) and so she hasnt time to write on the blog or comment for that matter. But Im still trying hard to keep this going. I put up the David Frost/Richard Nixon post after i had watched the movie to wet peoples whistles for another post.
But anyway onto stuff going on in the world. Apparently David Carradine was found dead. Sorry random i know but I thought I should mention it.
Ok for real....Well Sotomayor is still in the hotseat because of comments she has made in the past. All she said is that she was bringing a different opinion to the table. She was just saying that maybe it would be good if it was taken from a Latino womans perspective rather than a white males. She wasnt trying to be racist more than she was just stating that she thinks outside the box compared to the general populous.
Although you know who is the BIGGEST HYPOCRITE? That idiot Rush Limbaugh. Im sorry Haley I know you like him but he is the biggest hypocrite Ive seen. Him and Newt Gingrich have been running around all over many different media sources saying that she is a huge racist and that we shouldn't allow a racist to be a supreme court judge...Than again here are a few quotes from Rush himself:
"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.”

And lest we not forget "Barack the Magic Negro." Im sorry Rush but with these comments, you have NO right to run around calling people racist when you are one of the biggest racists out there. If I had the power to, I would fight you one-on-one and knock some of the bigot right outta ya. I'm an 18 year old white male but I WILL NOT sit here and listen to you spout garbage out of your mouth about someone when it is the biggest case of pot calling the kettle black. As of right now I have a personal vendetta against you. I will write letters, send telephone messages, whatever it takes until you admit you're a racist and you have no room to talk.
I understand that people have mixed feelings about Obama. A good portion of people think he is a good change, some think he's making huge mistakes, some want him dead, and some (Republicans) have taken a huge stance against him. OK has anyone seen this bumper sticker?
If you laughed then you are most likely a Republican. I dont hate Republicans or people who are against Obama. Personally I dont like Obama (the president). Obama (the man) i do like and because I like him as a man I have to say that we are being pretty hard on him. Ok he's not been perfect but its only been slightly over 100 days. He hasnt even done anything extremly shocking or different that could make me think otherwise. He's over in Saudi Arabia now trying to make peace. He is trying to take steps toward ending this war. Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative or other, it doesnt matter who you are, I think this war needs to stop. Too many people have died and we've spent WAAAY to long trying to do what we are there to do.
All i ask is how many more people have to die before you agree with me?
